Remove Fungi Of Toenails With Just 2 Items

Do you need to treat your nail fungus? It probably does not hurt, and thick yellow nails do not bother you.

But nail fungus does not go away on its own. And if you don’t treat it, there’s a chance it will get worse. It can spread to other nails or through your body.

There are several ways to take care of it, including:

Non-prescription options. You can buy anti-fungal creams, gels, and nail polishes at the store and online without a prescription. You may want to try one of them first if the infection doesn’t look bad. Some people also swear by home remedies like a menthol scrub, tea tree oil, mouthwash, or snake plant extract – but studies have shown mixed results.

Prescription polishes and creams. The podiatrist will likely trim your toenail and remove dead layers. They may also take a piece of your fingernail and send it to the lab to make sure it is really a fungus and what type it is.

The doctor may suggest an antifungal medication that you paint on your nails. This may work on its own, or they may suggest taking it with anti-fungal pills.

Prescriptions for medicines. One of the many antifungal pills may help. They are working, but it may take many months to do the job. It also comes with side effects like nausea, vomiting, and headache. They may also cause liver damage, so your doctor will monitor you closely while you are taking them. Make sure to tell them of any other medicines you are taking – some antifungal pills may not work well for them.
