Baked Parmesan Tomatoes

Baked Tomato Parmesan – This simple and cheesy snack is made with just a few ingredients and a total of 15 minutes. It’s the last minute side dish or appetizer of your dreams! Unique, delicious, always a hit for guests. My best advice: do extra for your inevitable midnight snack!

Enter: Baked Parmesan Tomatoes. Tender, cheesy, herbal, and delicious. They might also be my main path.

While I was making it on a large tomato that you can slice, you can create this plate on a smaller scale as well to get larger pieces. It’s a great way to serve up a unique appetizer or snack to your guests! It is one of those pastries that will still taste delicious when cooled on the appetizer table.

  • Ingredients

° 2 large tomatoes, cut into 3 slices each

° Half a cup of grated Parmesan cheese

° 1 teaspoon dried thyme

° A quarter of a teaspoon of salt or to taste

° A quarter of a teaspoon of pepper, or to taste

° 1 tablespoon of olive oil for drip on top

° Chopped parsley, to garnish

  • Instructions :

Preparation: Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. In a small bowl, mix Parmesan cheese, dried thyme, salt and pepper.

To collect: Spread evenly on top of each tomato slice with the Parmesan cheese mixture. Drizzle some olive oil, this is optional.

Baking: Bake for 5 to 10 minutes or until you notice that the cheese begins to melt and turn golden brown. You can also run the grill for about a minute if you want more color for the cheese.

Serving: Garnish with parsley and serve.
