I tasted like a good steak burger and when I saw this recipe I said to myself, it is sure that it is super good. On the other hand, I had not read to the end. It is 4:30 am, I tell myself I’m going to start my supper and then while reading I realize that this is a recipe for the slow cooker, Oops. I still made the recipe, I simply cooked my meat patties as indicated in the recipe, I put them aside and made the sauce, I put my meatballs in the sauce withthe baby onions and simmered for 30 to 45 minutes and everything was perfect.
- Ingredients :
°1 C. canola oil
For the pancakes:
° 500 g (about 1 lb) medium-lean ground beef
° 1/4 cup of plain breadcrumbs
° 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
° 1 C. old-fashioned mustard (Dijon me)
° 1 C. steak spice
° 1 beaten egg
For the sauce:
° 16 pearl onions
° 1 C. tablespoon of honey
° 2/3 cup of demi-glace sauce or pepper sauce (me with pepper sauce)
° 1/4 cup of beef broth
- Preparation :
-In a bowl, combine the ingredients for the patties. Shape 8 patties using about 1/3 cup of the mixture for each.
-In skillet, heat oil on medium heat. Brown the patties for 1 minute on each side. Place the patties in the slow cooker.
-In the same pan, brown the pearl onions for 1 to 2 minutes. Pour in the honey and let caramelize for 1 minute. Place in the slow cooker.
-Pour the demi-glace sauce and beef broth. Cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours at low power.
