Old fashioned Custard Pie


°1 uncooked pie shell
°3 large eggs
°½ c granulated sugar
°½ t of salt
°½ t nutmeg
°2-2/3 c milk
°1 t pure vanilla extract

  • Methods

Preheat oven 350 degrees
In a medium bowl, using a hand mixer or whisk, lightly beat the eggs. Add the sugar, salt, nutmeg, milk and vanilla and beat well until combined (the mixture will be a bit runny)
Sweetly pour mixture to the unbaked pie shell and baking for 35 to 40 min
Remove from the oven and let cool completely to room temperature
Sprinkle the top of the completely cooled pie with nutmeg, slice and serve
