A pecan pie (also known as a pecan pie) is an American recipe that is usually made on Thanksgiving Day. Yesterday I remembered this recipe that some American friends gave me years ago and shared with you. I bought pecans from an organic store that just opened in my neighborhood. However, other times I haven’t seen them, I’ve replaced them with regular pecans, as they are from the same family and are quite similar. The dough is a sweet dough with eggs. If you want to buy ready-made dough, it is better to buy puff pastry rather than short puff pastry. But it is worth making it by hand because it is a different dough than we are used to.
- Ingredients :
+To prepare the pecan pie dough
° 225 grams wheat flour
° 110 grams butter
° 110 grams white sugar
° 4 egg yolks
° 3 eggs
° 110 grams of sugar
° 5 tablespoons syrup (liquid honey can be substituted)
° 3 tablespoons rum
° 175 g pecans (or walnuts)
° 50 grams butter
° vanilla extract
- Steps :
Make the dough, combining all the ingredients at the same time in a food processor. This can too be finished manually. Once you’re done, wrap it in transparent paper and put it in the fridge for an hour.
Put the oven at a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius.
Roll out the dough and put an oiled cake tin to prevent it from sticking.
Beat eggs and mix with sugar. Melt the butter and add this and other filling ingredients, including a pinch of salt and a few drops of vanilla.
