To make the recipe a success, you must respect the cooking time and temperature. Likewise, the ingredients must also be carefully measured and prepared before starting the recipe.

You will need :
flour
eggs
cans of Royal pink salmon
Italian Bread crumbs
cornmeal
yellow onion
green onion
spicy paprika
garlic salt
Lawry’s
coarse black pepper
oregano
Texas Pete hot sauce (optional)
vegetable or canola oil
cast iron skillet


Ingredients
1 tbsp flour
2 eggs
2 cans of Royal pink salmon (take off larger bones and darker skin)
1 cup Italian Bread crumbs
1 tbsp cornmeal
1 half yellow onion/fine chop
1 half green onion/rough chop
spicy paprika
garlic salt
Lawry’s
coarse black pepper
oregano
Texas Pete hot sauce (optional)
3/4 cup of vegetable or canola oil (a lot of oil = greasy patties)
cast iron skillet


instructions
In a large bowl, mix all ingredients.
Season to your desired taste. Form into desired pattie size.
Refrigerate for 20-30 mins.
Heat skillet with oil at an appropriate temperature.
Fry patties about 3-4 minutes per side depending on size.
Garnish with parsley.
Recipe Note

I served these with some grits and eggs. They come always perfect. Sometimes I add a little bit of diced jalapenos for additional heat.
