Here’s a traditional dish from the Southern United States that you can spice up to your liking. Your relatives and friends will love this fried chicken.
- Ingredients :
° 4 eggs
° 125 ml all-purpose flour (1/2 cup)
° 10 ml paprika (2 teaspoons)
° 2 ml sage (1/2 teaspoon)
° 1 ml cayenne pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
° 1 ml of salt (1/4 teaspoon)
° 2 ml of pepper (1/2 teaspoon)
° 750 ml canola or safflower oil (3 cups)
° 2 roasting chickens, cut into portions
- Preperation :
In a bowl, beat the eggs. In a shallow baking dish, combine flour, paprika, sage, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper. In fryer-deep or skillet, heat oil on high-heat.
Dip the chicken in the eggs and coat with the flour mixture. Gently drop four pieces of chicken at a time into the oil and fry for 15 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
