Slow-cooker creamy ranch pork chops and potatoes – six ingredients and a complete meal in your slow cooker!
Finish a creamy slow-cooker pork-and-potato chip dinner with a dessert of coconut oil, dark chocolate brownies or a sour chocolate cake.
Have you ever needed a * really * simple dinner?
I do. Almost every night.
I know that not everyone likes to cook with “whatever cream” soup. I am one of those people. But sometimes, every now and then, you need a short cut and that is one of those times.
- Slow cooker creamy beef strips and potato ingredients
-Pork Chops – You will need 4-6 pork chops. I like to use a fine cut.
-Red skinned potatoes – I use about 6 medium red potatoes, cut into large chunks. You can also use Yukon Gold or regular Idaho. Choose your favorite.
-Creamy Onion Soup – I use “cream” soup in moderation, but it works well in this recipe. If you prefer not to use it, you can make your own soup substitute cream.
-Ranch Mixture – Buy the large container of Sam’s Club Ranch Dressing Mix, but you can also make homemade Ranch Mixture.
Spices – I like to use garlic and black pepper here. Use whatever you like but you will get the salt from your soup and farm mixture.
-Milk – I always have 2% on hand, so this is what I use it for.
-Parsley – Parsley to garnish because slow-cooked meals sometimes need some color 🙂
- Ingredients :
° 3 pounds red potatoes – quartered
° 6 (3/4 inch) boneless pork chops (or boneless if available)
° 1/2 cup olive oil
° 2 tablespoons dry ranch seasoning
° 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
° 2 tablespoons butter – cubes
- Instructions :
Cut pork in an oiled frying pan over medium / high heat. (my choice)
Mix oil, ranch and apple cider vinegar.
Put potato slices and pork in a slow saucepan. Pour the ranch mixture over the top and stir to cover the potatoes and chop evenly.
Lay the butter cubes on top of them.
Cook over high heat for about 3 hours. In low condition, 5-6 hours. Salt / pepper to taste.
