This apple pie recipe is an easy recipe to make, without cream, just with fruit: beautiful apples on a small underlay of applesauce
- Ingredients :
° 1 shortcrust pastry
° 6 Golden apples
° 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
° 30g butter
- Preparation :
Peel and cut into 4 Golden pieces.
Make a compote: put them in a saucepan with a little water (1 or 2 glass). Stir well. When the apples start to soften, add a sachet or sachet and a half of vanilla sugar. Add a little water if necessary.
You will know if the compote is ready once the apples are no longer hard at all. It doesn’t matter if there are a few pieces left.
While the compote is cooking, peel and quarter the last two apples, then cut the quarters into thin strips (they will be used to be placed on the compote).
Preheat the oven to 210 ° C (thermostat 7).
Let the compote cool a little and spread the shortcrust pastry in a mold and prick it with a fork.
Pour the compote over the dough and place the apple slices in a spiral or several circles, as desired! Place slices of butter on top.
Place in the oven and cook for a maximum of 30 minutes. Monitor the cooking. You can add a little vanilla sugar to the pie while it’s baking to caramelize a bit.
