HOMEMADE ORANGE CUPCAKES

Ingredients :

°1 and a half cups of all-purpose flour

°1 teaspoon baking powder

°1/2 teaspoon of baking soda

°1/4 teaspoon salt

°1/2 c unsalted butter

°1 c granulated sugar

°2 l eggs

°2 t of vanilla extract

°1/2 c squeezed orange juice

°1 tablespoon of freshly grated orange peel

°1/2 cup of milk

Set the oven to 350°F (180°C) and place the cupcake liners in a muffin tin.

Whisking flour, baking powder, baking soda, &; salt in bowl. sit aside.

Mix the butter and sugar together in a large bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes.

Mix the eggs one by one, then add the vanilla.

Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with orange juice and curd.

Mix in grated orange zest.

Fill cupcake liners about two-thirds with the mixture, and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cupcakes comes out clean.

Let the cupcakes cool for 5 minutes in the pan before removing them and placing them on a wire rack to cool completely.

Decorate your orange cupcakes

Once the cupcakes have cooled, it’s time to get creative with the toppings.Mix 1/2 cup unsalted butter, 4 cups powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice, and 1 teaspoon orange peel together until smooth. Using a large star-shaped tip, place the frosting on the cupcake.

Orange glaze: Heat 1/2 cup fresh orange juice and 1/2 cup granulated sugar in a small saucepan until sugar dissolves. Spread the glaze over the cupcake after it has cooled down.

For candied oranges, cut fresh oranges into thin circles and sprinkle with sugar. Place the slices under the broiler for two to three minutes, or until the sugar turns brown. Place the candied orange slices on top of the cupcake.
