° 3 eggs
° 60 grams of sugar
° 170 grams butter
° 900 grams of flour
° 700 ml of milk
° 3 teaspoons yeast
° pinch of salt
1 Preheat the oven to 200°C (thermostat 6-7). Sift the flour and then the yeast into a bowl. Dig a well and pour in salt and sugar. to mix everything.
We dig a new well, melt the butter and put it in it. Mix well. (Add raisins or other dried fruit, why not add chocolate chips…to taste).
3 In a bowl, whisk the milk with the eggs. Gradually pour this mixture into the preparation until you get a firm, not too sticky dough. (There will definitely be some milk and egg mixture left.)
4 On a workboard, spread the flour and place the dough ball on it. (Don’t manipulate it too much or it won’t rise). Roll out this dough into a layer about 4 cm thick. Cut the scones using a crushed cookie cutter (or inverted cup). Brush them with the rest of the egg milk.
Place the scones on a hot, floured baking sheet. Leave it to brown for 20 minutes.
