My family has been using this very simple and delicious sausage, bell pepper and onion recipe for years.For an extra touch, try using half sweet and half hot!
- Ingredients :
° 6 (4 ounces) sweet Italian sausage
° 2 tablespoons butter
° 1 yellow onion, sliced
° ½ red onion sliced
° 4 cloves garlic, minced
° 1 large red pepper, sliced
° 1 green pepper cut into slices
° 1 teaspoon dried basil
° 1 teaspoon dried oregano
° Half a cup of white wine
Put the sausages in a large skillet over medium heat, browning on all sides.Remove from pan and chop finely.
Step 2 disslove butter in skillet.Add the sautéed red onion, red onion and garlic and cook for about 2-3 minutes.Mix red and green peppers. Season with basil and oregano. Heart in white wine.Continue cooking and stirring until the peppers and onions are tender.
Returning sausage tranches to skillet with vegetables. Reduce heat, cover, & simmer for 15 min
