My favorite food when I was a kid until now.
- Ingredients for 4 people
° 125gm round rice
° 1 liter milk
° 40 grams of sugar
° 1 vanilla bean
Cut the vanilla bag into two lengthwise and dip them in a saucepan with the milk. Heat the milk.
Rinse the rice with water and pour it into the saucepan when the milk starts to boil.
Cover the pan and cook over low heat for 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes Tip: Do not flip the rice while it is cooking.
10 minutes before the end of cooking, pour sugar into the saucepan and stir. When you remove the lid to pour the sugar, you will notice that the rice will “puff”. This is normal (see photo).
At the end of cooking, remove the vanilla. Pour the rice into a bowl and leave to cool to room temperature. Serve it at room temperature.
