Ingredients:

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup confectioners’ sugar
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
1 pinch salt
9 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed
¼ cup milk
1 egg

Decoration:

3 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
2 teaspoons lemon juice, or as needed
90 candy eyeballs

Directions:

Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, add the flour, 3/4 cups of cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and vanilla sugar. Stir until well combined.

Step 2: Add the butter and mix using your hands until it looks like small crumbs.

Step 3: Add in the egg and milk. Knead the mixture until it forms into a soft dough.

Step 4: Place into a mixing bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and place inside the fridge to chill for 30 minutes.

Step 5: Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.

Step 6: Line with parchment paper two baking sheets.

Step 7: Roll the dough on a flat surface. Cut it into 8-inch ropes.

Step 8: Arrange into the lined baking sheets with the tip on the top. Make sure to leave about 1-inch space between each cookie.

Step 9: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the bottom is dried.

Step 10: Remove from the oven gently and place on a wire rack to cool for 2 hours.

Step 11: In a small mixing bowl, add the lemon juice and 3 tablespoons of confectioners’ sugar. Stir until well mixed.

Step 12: Brush the icing on top of each cookie.

Step 13: Place 2 candy eyeballs on every cookie and allow it to dry.

Step 14: Serve and enjoy!

Note:

You can use regular vanilla instead of vanilla sugar mixture.
