The Best Homemade Pancakes

These light and fluffy pancakes are everyone’s favorite breakfast food every time, especially when there’s plenty of butter !! Not to mention, you can easily make these pancakes from scratch with ingredients you should already have in your kitchen !!

– Milk: 3/4 cup

– White vinegar: 2 tablespoons

– All purpose flour: 1 cup

– White sugar: 2 tablespoons (I used 3)

– Baking powder: 1 teaspoon

– Baking soda: 1/2 teaspoon

– Salt: 1/2 teaspoon

– Egg: 1 large

– Melted butter: 2 tablespoons

– Vanilla: 1 teaspoon

STEP 1 :

First, you’re going to get a small bowl and combine in together the milk and vinegar for 10 minutes to “sour”; set aside. And yes I konw, just rest you will NOT taste the vinegar in the final product..

STEP 2 :

After that, go ahead and combine the dry ingredients in a bowl. Then whisk together the soured milk, egg, vanilla and melted butter in a smaller bowl. Once done, go ahead and pour into the dry ingredients. Always remember to whisk until most of the lumps are gone, being careful NOT OVER BEAT!!

STEP 3 :

The key is that the batter will be thick, so don’t add any more liquid. THE BATTER SHOULD BE LET TO SIT UNDISTURBED FOR 10 MINUTES!!

STEP 4 :

Time done, you will see bubbles in the batter, very important DO NOT STIR AGAIN.

STEP 5 :

You’ll want to dip out (don’t pour out) 1/2 cup of batter GENTLY and place it on a buttered grill or frying pan. Immediately cook until bubbles appear on the surface of the pancake. Finally, go ahead and flip with a spatula and brown the other side.
