°2 boneless rib steak or rump steak, 4 cm thick (700 g)
°15 ml (1 tablespoon) extra virgin olive oil
° 600 g (21 oz) coarse sea salt
° Freshly ground black pepper
Once salted, the steaks become more tender and delicious. Turning the steak regularly allows it to cook and caramelize the entire surface of the meat.
- Preparation :
Grease the steaks with oil.
Spread half of the salt in a plate, put the steaks on top and cover with the remaining salt. Reserve for 20 minutes.
Using a paper towel, remove all the salt from the steaks, then season with pepper.
Heat the grill or frying pan on a high heat.
Cook the steaks for 2 to 3 minutes per side, flipping them every minute until you like them.
Cover with foil and set aside for 5 minutes before serving.
Cut the steak into thick slices and serve it with French fries and mustard.
